Step 1

Arthrospira (Spirulina) algae is grown in food-grade raceway ponds or tanks under controlled conditions (pH, temperature, sunlight, and nutrients).

Harvesting & Washing

The Spirulina biomass is separated from water using microfiltration or centrifugation. It’s then washed with RO water to remove impurities and excess sodium.

Drying

The wet biomass is dried using low-temperature air drying, spray drying, or freeze-drying to preserve nutrients and reduce moisture content (≤7%).

Step 4

Milling & Sieving

The dried flakes are milled into a fine powder and sieved for uniform particle size; metal detection ensures purity.

Step 5

Encapsulation & Filling

The Spirulina powder is filled into capsules (e.g., 500 mg each) using automated capsule-filling machines. Capsules are usually made from HPMC or vegetable cellulose. Weight checks and desiccant planning are done for stability.
